At Studio GBM, sustainability is not an afterthought. It is part of how we design, print and produce. As a family business that has served Limerick since 1967, we think in generations, and we want the work we do today to respect the environment our children and grandchildren will inherit.

This charter sets out the practical commitments we make, and keep, to reduce our environmental impact.

Responsible Materials

We choose our materials with care. We use FSC-certified paper and board supplied by Antalis, ensuring the fibre we print on comes from responsibly managed forests. Where a project allows, we prioritise recycled, recyclable and compostable materials.

Cleaner Printing

We use vegetable-based, low-VOC inks in place of traditional solvent-based alternatives, reducing harmful emissions in our production process. Through Canon’s closed-loop toner recycling programme, spent toner cartridges are returned and recycled rather than sent to landfill.

Reducing Waste

We recycle our paper and material offcuts rather than discarding them, and we work to minimise waste at every stage of production, from planning and proofing through to finishing. We avoid single-use plastics in our operations.

Sustainable Packaging

We prioritise recyclable and compostable packaging, choosing materials that protect our products in transit without creating unnecessary environmental burden.

Our People

Sustainability only works when it is part of the culture. We regularly train our staff on eco-conscious practices, so that responsible choices are made throughout the business, not just at management level.

Measuring Our Progress

We continuously measure and assess our environmental impact, and we set new sustainability goals each year. We believe that meaningful progress comes from holding ourselves accountable and improving year on year, rather than settling for good intentions.
