An Evening of Networking in the Heart of Limerick
On Thursday 26 June, 101 O’Connell Street buzzed with conversation, collaboration and community spirit as we hosted Business and the City, an evening of networking in the heart of Limerick city.
This special Twilight Thursday event brought together professionals from across Limerick to connect, unwind and engage in meaningful dialogue around leadership, resilience and the value of supporting local.
From the moment the doors opened, the energy in the room was undeniable. Reception drinks and finger food set the tone for an evening that was both relaxed and enriching. It was a joy to witness the dynamic connections being formed, a clear sign that Limerick’s professional community is eager for more spaces to engage and grow together.

A Panel on the Limerick Gift Card
The evening began with a panel discussion on the Limerick Gift Card and its role in strengthening local business.
A Fireside Chat with Olympian RóisÃn Upton
This was followed by a fireside chat featuring Irish women’s field hockey Olympian RóisÃn Upton, in conversation with Donn O’Sullivan. Business and the City is part of Studio GBM’s wider commitment to supporting professional collaborations.
We see Twilight Thursdays as an opportunity to connect business after hours. This event was a shining example of what is possible when Limerick’s business, cultural and community sectors come together.

What Lies Ahead
We are proud of what was achieved and excited about what lies ahead. We are already planning the next Business and the City events for September and October, and we cannot wait to welcome you back.
